Many genetic diseases for which we offer molecular genetic analyses are also the subject of research at the Institute. We also often offer consultation hours for specific diseases at the Institute or within a special outpatient center at the University of Cologne.
The Institute’s Diagnostic Laboratory participates in the quality assurance measures of the German Society for Human Genetics (Berufsverband Deutscher Humangenetiker e.V., BVDH) and the European Molecular Genetics Quality Network (EMQN). It is certified by TÜV under ISO 9001.
