The human genetics lecture for medical professionals takes place for the 7th clinical semester in semester weeks 1-6. The lecture takes place on Mondays from 13:15-15:00 and Wednesdays from 12:15-13:00 in lecture hall III of the LFI and deals primarily with the following topics:
- DNA / genome in medicine
- Significance of different inheritance patterns
- Cytogenetics
- Molecular cytogenetics
- Mitochondriopathies
- Mental retardation
- Genetics of hereditary tumor diseases
- Genetics of common diseases
- Therapy of genetic diseases
