In the consultation hours of our genetic outpatient clinic, we mainly see people and families who are suspected of having a genetic disease. We try to make an exact diagnosis using the latest genetic analysis methods. As part of genetic counseling, we provide understandable information on genetic disease patterns, the risk of recurrence for other family members and options for action. We work closely with the Medical Care Center (MVZ), the Center for Rare Diseases and various specialist outpatient clinics at Cologne University Hospital.

In principle, you can contact us with any genetic question. Here you will find more detailed information on the procedure for an appointment in our consultation hours. We offer special consultation hours for certain disease groups, namely the following:

• Special consultation for eye diseases
• Special consultation for child development disorders
• Special consultation for Marfan syndrome
• Special consultation for neuromuscular diseases
• Special consultation for kidney diseases
• Special consultation for prenatal diagnostics
• Special consultation for skeletal diseases
• Special consultation for hereditary tumor diseases

All other questions are dealt with in the general consultation hours.
